Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies P&Q

Posted on: July 28, 2009

So, I haven’t heard back from Laurel of Bake me More yet on her selection, and Stephanie of Ice Cream Before Dinner agreed to switch weeks so you all would know what was on the menu for Sunday as soon as possible.  Thanks Stephanie.  Hope that works for everyone and sorry about the delay.

yay! my friend had actually asked me to make him peanut butter cookies! what a coincidence!

I have everything at home but the peanut butter!!!

I’m so excited to host! Peanut Butter Cookies are simple, and not so fancy, but I doubt anyone would have trouble eating them because of that! I look forward to baking with you all this weekend!

Although I won’t be able to eat them (due to allergies), I’m looking forward to making these. The PB cookies I’ve made so far have been crispy. And as with all cookies, some like them crispy and some like them chewy. With these I’ll be able to please the other half :o) Thanks Stephanie.

I might do a side-by-side comparison between these and the chewy PB cookies from The Weekend Baker.

I just made these – they’re quite tasty, but I baked them for 12 minutes and they were still really soft. I think they need more like 14-15. I’ll bake off some more dough tomorrow (for a longer time) and report back!.

I just made these too. 12 minutes was good for me. I kept them on the baking sheet for an extra 5 or so to crisp the edges up some more.

I baked some more for 14 minutes, and they were perfect – soft, chewy, firm around the edges, mmm…

I love peanut butter cookies! My mom asked me to bring dessert to her house Sunday for a dinner get together. Im making these and bringing vanilla ice cream to make Peanut butter ice cream sandwiches! Im sure it will be the bomb!

I’ve made these previously and they were really good! I’m looking forward to baking them again. I agree with Sarah – I had to bake mine a bit more than the recipe indicated.
